Maricopa is a city nestled in Pinal County, Arizona. A popular attraction here is Harrah’s Ak-Chin. It is a casino and hotel found in the Ak-Chin Indian Community, thirty nine miles south of Phoenix, Arizona near Maricopa, AZ.The forty thousand square feet casino has video poker and slot machines, as well poker, blackjack, keno, and bingo, and is open twenty four hours a day. The magnificent hotel has one hundred and forty four rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool. The complex also boasts ofstaurants, meeting and conference space, and entertainment. Rodriguez then went to the media, which caused a dip in the casino’s revenues. In January 1998, Harrah’s paid Rodriguez the $330,000, declaring that it is appropriate for Harrah’s to satisfy the expectations it created for the customer. As the malfunctioning slot machine was part of a pool of slot machines in the Southwest region, Harrah’s did not have access to funds to pay the jackpot, so they paid it out of their own funds. Incidentally there are no longer any Quartermania machines in the casino.
